Mobile App & Scoring
· All league members must use the mobile scoring app – available for Android and iPhone devices. Download the Golf Genius app for iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone. Search on your App Store for “Golf Genius”
· One person can score for entire group, or you can score individually.
· The app contains live scoring and leaderboards
· Each week at check-in you will receive a unique login code for the app, as well as a physical scorecard. Physical scorecard must also be completed, and attested.
· Individual results, Purse Payouts, Points, Team Rankings, and Stats will all be available via our Online Portal: http://pipersmensleague.golfleaguegenius.com/
· Scoring is for 9 holes and handicaps will be in effect
Scoring:
· Individual:
o Low net score. 9 holes. Individual points will be awarded weekly. Prizes will be awarded to the leader(s) after Week 8, and the overall leader(s) after Week 16.
o Weekly Points awarded as follows:
o Weekly Purse (subject to change):
§ 1st: $100
§ 2nd: $50
§ 3rd: $25
§ 4th: $15
§ 5th: $10
· Team:
o Each “Team” consists of at least 12 players. Note: You DO NOT necessarily have to play with members of your “Team.”
o Team rosters were picked at random.
o Only the best 7 individual scores from each team will count toward the weekly “Team Score.”
o Teams will be awarded weekly points as follows:
§ 1st Place Team: 10 Points
§ 2nd Place Team: 6 Points
§ 3rd Place Team: 4 Points
§ 4th Place Team: 2 Points
o Prizes will be awarded to the Team in 1st place after Week 8, and to the Team in 1st place after Week 16.
Weekly Fees:
· Cost: 9 hole League Rate $50.00 including range warm-up, shared power cart, weekly prize entry fee, and taxes. Rate is valid/available only to League Members, and only during League times.
· Optional 18 hole Rate: $70.00 including range warm-up, shared power cart, weekly prize entry fee, and taxes. Rate is valid/available only to League Members, and only during League times. Note: Only the first 9 holes is counted toward League scoring, and scorecards must be handed in after 9 holes and prior to continuing your round. Please remember this is a 9 hole League, and Piper’s Heath makes no promises or guarantees that you will be able to play 18 holes every week. 18 hole tee times subject to availability.
Scoring:
· League members must be playing with at least one other League member to verify scoring.
· Handicaps are in effect.
· All League rounds are to be played from the White Tees (Rating: 69.1, Slope 125; Yardage Front: 3041, Yardage Back: 3047)
· The first 9 holes will count toward scoring. Piper’s Heath will aim to utilize both the front 9 and back 9 throughout the season.
· Scorecards are to be verified by playing partner(s) and handed in at the Golf Shop at the conclusion of your 9 holes.
· Each League member will be part of a Team. Each individual score will count toward your Team score.
· Scores and statistics will be posted and available to view on our Online League Web Portal
Format:
· Most night’s will be “own ball,” recording your own score.
· Specialty night’s may include 2 man scramble, 2 man best ball, 4 club challenge, Skins, etc.
· Each League member will be part of a Team. Each individual score will count toward your Team score.
Prizing:
· Weekly prizes will be available.
· Prize distribution will vary week-to-week. Categories Include: low gross, low net, closest to pin, skins, most accurate drive, hole in one pot, Team prizes, etc.
· Year end prizes will be awarded at the season ending Shootout
· Prizes may include Piper’s Heath Gift Cards, Cash, Apparel, Rounds of Golf, etc.
Food & Beverage:
· Weekly Food & Beverage specials will be available at Piper’s Pub each League night..
· Other on-course promotions will be available throughout the season.
